100% of Funding directly supports initiatives to enhance the educational experience of all students. Through generous donations and fundraising events, the LFCEF has awarded over $84,315.95 since 2004 to assist educators, coaches, and administrators to provide enhancements to children in pre-k through high school.
The Endowment
The Lake Forest Community Education Fund was established in 2003 and resides with the Delaware Community Foundation. The fund is established in perpetuity for the purpose of awarding grants for innovative school projects. To preserve the original principal and grow the endowment, the Foundation seeks contributions and organizes fundraising events. The Fund began with a $10,000 contribution in 2003. Through the generous contributions of donors and the fund's earnings, the endowment has $109,398.20 as of December 31, 2020.
